This is the bread we’ve been making using a modified version of the no-knead recipe. We store it on the counter top in the kitchen and the bread last for more than a week without getting mouldy.

That looks so gorgeous and delicious. What kind of pot did you use? cast iron? the shape looks amazing. i took a stab at making no knead using a pyrex and it exploded. what little of it i salvaged was definitely delicious and fun!

Thanks! The bread is delicious!
SF: I used a dutch oven to make the bread. That is strange that the pyrex container exploded.

You know, what, I looked at the recipe and it sure looks arduous (aka cooking dimwit)-proof. I might try it!

Mmmmmm, bread, fresh bread. It is my serious downfall. But I LOVE bread, especially the homemade kind. I vastly prefer eating half a loaf of bread and going for a 6 mile run to not eating the bread

That looks amazing! If you haven’t seen it already, you should check out Even More Useless Crap, a blog written by a fellow named Grant. He was trying to make this no knead recipe and I was seriously questioning the soundness of the recipe. Maybe you some tips for him? I was of no help.

Hmm…I have not heard of “Even more useless crap” and couldn’t see the link on your (life less plastic) blog. Could you or someone else provide a link?
