Not sure if I am inspiring people or not but….
- My neighbors have started drying their clothes out in the backyard. The adult male rides his bike (I see him all the time arriving or going somewhere on a bike) everyday
- Friends are talking about buying worm bins for composting and baking their own bread
- Friends are also either starting to bike or biking more

Dude. You’re inspirational. AND trendy.

Hmm…I need to incorporate the word “dude” into my vocabulary and get rid of “yo” in preparation of my move from Philly to L.A.
And thanks arduous…I love compliments.

I’d take the credit if I were you! Talking about L.A., I’d be so curious to see your reaction to the city. PA to LA, will it be a cultural change?

You can still say “yo,” though I feel a little like most people I know say “yo” with a smidge of self-consciousness. But I never notice when I say “dude.” I was born and brought up here. It’s just second nature.

Okay then! I am taking credit for the above mentioned treehugging activities.
As for whether the move will be a culture change…I have no idea. I have had enough cultural disruptions already to last me a lifetime. Whatever this move brings will be a drop in the bucket. Unless of course…my neighbor happens to be Daniel Craig or Peter Greene. That will take some getting used to.
I noticed last night that my husband uses “dude” when talking. He also talks like a Valley girl sometimes and I dunno where in the world he picked that up from since he’s from the Great Lakes area.
