Sorry about the delay in announcing the winner. I was hoping to be home and catch up on my blog reading but…we did a test ride with all our gear to Delaware and on our way back, we got lost and then got caught in some sort of freak storm with hail so large and vicious that we had to cut our trip and stay in a motel overnight (as it got too late, and northern Delaware is really sketchy. I’ve never seen hail like this in my entire life, they were pelting down hard and were huge. Luckily we got refuge minutes before the hailstorm began.

We stayed overnight at Lums Pond state park in Delaware. It was my first camping experience and I am pleased that it was a much better experience that I had anticipated. People everywhere have been wonderful. Faith in humanity is beginning to get restored. We’ll see if that changes when I cross into another state.       

My thigh hurts, my ass hurts, my hands hurt. Total mileage so far (we’re at a motel right now), 105 miles. We did 65 yesterday and the rest today. I am a slow poke and we took long eating breaks. The thunderstorm didn’t help.  Hope to get home tomorrow.
